Remote Data Analyst Opportunity with American Airlines in Colorado - $35/Hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our Operations Research and Analytics (OR&AA) team at American Airlines. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights and analysis. This is a remote opportunity based in Colorado, offering a competitive salary of $35/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and frame analytics problems
• Acquire, manipulate, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from various sources
• Build and validate statistical and machine learning models using predictive analytics and AI techniques
• Design, develop, and deploy AI models within a ML Operations framework

Requirements:

• Master's/PhD degree or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of equivalent practical experience in a quantitative discipline
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java)
• Practical experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis
• In-depth knowledge of statistical and machine learning procedures
• Experience with SQL and data visualization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, recommender systems, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)
• Knowledge of the airline industry
• Experience working in a consulting role

Skills:

• Proven ability for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem-solving
• Ability to view data from different perspectives and utilize feature engineering techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a diverse team or work with a range of stakeholders
