Job Overview

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data analysis and modeling to solution development and implementation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and frame analytical problems
• Acquiring, manipulating, cleaning, and analyzing structured and unstructured data from various sources
• Building and validating statistical and machine learning models to drive business value
• Deploying models as proofs of concept or fully productionized implementations
• Monitoring and maintaining deployed models to ensure continued effectiveness
• Evaluating business impacts and communicating significant recommendations to stakeholders
• Promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization through workshops and training sessions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master's/PhD degree or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of equivalent practical experience in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, etc.)
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java)
• Practical experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis
• Deep knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Experience with SQL and data visualization
• Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, recommender systems, experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)
• Practical experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models within a ML Operations framework
• Experience using cloud platforms and parallel processing to scale model development/deployment
• Domain knowledge in the airline industry
• Experience working in a consulting role
