Job Overview:
Applerouth Tutoring, a leading educational services company, is seeking passionate and experienced In-Person Test Prep Tutors to join our team in Westchester County, NY. As a tutor with Applerouth, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives, helping them achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one, in-home test prep tutoring to students in Westchester County, NY, including Yonkers, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, and White Plains
- Utilize extensive knowledge of the SAT and ACT, as well as pedagogical strategies, to help students achieve their academic goals
- Participate in paid training and regular supplemental training to stay up-to-date on changes to tests and pedagogy
- Collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment
Requirements:
- Empathy, creativity, strong communication skills, and a desire to help others
- Reliable transportation and high-speed internet
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus
- SAT, ACT, or other standardized test scores
- At least one year of college
