Early Literacy Tutor (TK) - Carl B Munck Elementary School
Join Our Team as an Early Literacy Tutor and Make a Difference in the Lives of Young Learners!
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Literacy Tutor to join our team at Carl B Munck Elementary School. As an Early Literacy Tutor, you will play a vital role in developing and improving the early literacy skills of TK - 2nd grade students. This is a 6-hour per day position, and we offer a competitive salary range of $16.22 - $18.74 per hour.
About the Role:
- Provide intentional, data-driven literacy instruction and intervention to TK - 2nd grade students
- Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and other staff to set instructional schedules, report student progress, and make data-informed modifications
- Implement research-based targeted interventions to support small group differentiated instruction
- Assess student outcomes and progress using benchmark assessments and progress monitoring data
- Participate in literacy coaching sessions and record student and program data accurately
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Strong interest in education, specifically helping children develop early language and literacy skills
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills, including online database systems and email
- Energetic, results-oriented, and student-focused style, with strong planning and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- College coursework, college degree, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood setting
- Ability to attend the 4-day TK SEEDS of Early Learning training and/or SIPPS Training
