About the Role:

Under the guidance of a licensed teacher or administrator, the General Education Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth. Responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one and small group instruction, guidance, and reinforcement of skills and concepts
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and test scores
• Preparing instructional materials and assisting with lesson planning
• Monitoring students in various settings to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
• Participating in meetings and professional development activities

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (Paraprofessional or Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Basic knowledge of job-related equipment and software
• Experience working with children (preferred)
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
