We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time STEM Academy Teaching Assistant to support our in-person math and science-based high school program at a community organization in Northeast Philadelphia.

About the Role

• Provide classroom support and content tutoring to high school students in STEM fields (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science)
• Collaborate with faculty to deliver STEM-based instruction, activities, and labs
• Offer weekly updates, reports, and materials to the STEM Faculty Coordinator
• Communicate regularly with the STEM team to ensure proper content and problem-solving

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one STEM area of interest (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science) or Education (5th semester students or higher preferred)
• Ability to understand instructions and work independently as well as collaboratively on tasks
• Timely completion of job responsibilities and taking initiative to resolve problems
• Successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check
