Senior Academic Mentor (Tutor/Test Prep) - Flexible, Hybrid Remote Opportunity

Join our team of passionate educators at ESM Prep, part of Stravos Education, as a Senior Academic Mentor! We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced tutor/test prep mentor to work with students one-on-one, preparing them for college and supporting their overall academic journey. Job Summary:

We're looking for a seasoned tutor/test prep mentor to work with students in preparing for the ACT and SAT exams, tutoring multiple academic subjects, and mentoring students through their overall high school academic journey. As an Academic Mentor, you'll prioritize the holistic development of each student, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

• Tutor students one-on-one in various academic subjects, including algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, chemistry, physics, biology, economics, history, English, and Spanish, AP Computer Science, AP Economics, SSAT, and/or ISEE
• Prepare students for the ACT and SAT exams
• Mentor students through their overall high school academic journey
• Tutor in-person 2-3 times a week in Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and/or Santa Monica
• Available part-time, with a typical work schedule of Sunday-Thursday
• Reliable internet access required for online tutoring

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Prior experience teaching ACT/SAT
• A past score or a score from a diagnostic test taken during the application process may be required
• Additional expertise in high school subjects
• Passion for working with youth and previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching

Compensation and Benefits:

• $60/hour academic tutoring rate
• $70/hour test prep rate
• Additional compensation for training and administrative functions
• Flexible schedule and opportunity for some remote work
