We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate School Library Media Specialist to join our team at Darien Public School District in Connecticut. As a School Library Media Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our students, promoting literacy, and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging library programs and services that support the curriculum and meet the needs of students and staff
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and technology into the classroom
• Provide instruction and guidance on information literacy, research skills, and digital citizenship
• Manage and maintain the school library collection, including books, media, and technology
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in library science and education

Requirements

• CT Certification: School Library Media Specialist (#062) or eligibility for certification
• Strong knowledge of library science, education, and technology
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff
