PLEASE READ: This job is primarily remote with required travel by all modes of transportation. Job Overview ATP Training, Inc. is seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) Dangerous Goods Instructor who is detail-oriented, compliance-centered and highly skilled to join our team. This role involves creating, editing, and delivering training curriculums in both English and Spanish, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with international and domestic regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the dangerous goods industry and be willing to travel as needed. This role is remote with required travel. Candidates with CBTA Certifications are preferred. You will collaborate closely with other instructors, administrative team, and the President to provide excellent service to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Bilingual Training & Instruction: Deliver high-quality training for offering and handling dangerous goods in transportations in accordance with 49 CFR and applicable international regulations, in both English and Spanish. Curriculum Development: Create and update training materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all safety standards. Regulatory Compliance: Provide consultation to shippers, freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Audit & Assessment: Conduct dangerous goods procedure audits and provide recommendations for cost-effective compliance. Travel & Customer Interaction: Potential travel up to 25% of the time to deliver on-site training, conduct audits, and assist customers with compliance. Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with other instructors and administrative team to maintain high standards of instruction and record-keeping, including tracking training progress and preparing reports. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry news, and best practices to maintain expertise in the field. Creativity and Innovation: Research and implement creative ways to deliver training. Qualifications: Certifications/Education: IATA CBTA Certified Dangerous Goods Instructor (preferred). Completion of ATP Training’s CBTA Accredited Dangerous Goods Training class (both Non-Radioactive and Radioactive). Experience: 5 years of experience in dangerous goods handling or training. Knowledge of U.S. and international dangerous goods transportation regulations. Experience conducting audits and providing regulatory consultations. Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong instructional skills with the ability to adapt to various learning styles. Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and video conferencing software (Zoom, Teams).

  • Ability to solve complex problems and think creatively.

Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a 10-year background check and drug test. Must be able to obtain security clearance upon request.

  • Flexibility to travel by all modes of transportation, occasionally for extended periods (210 days).
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and overtime.

Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (training materials).

  • Ability to travel by all modes of transportation to client locations.

Remote work environment with some physical presence required at training sessions. Ability to operate office and training equipment (computers, projectors, multimedia tools).
