As our Head of Legal (Product), you’ll be a crucial force in driving this vision forward — shaping products that address industry pain points and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in legal tech. • Boldly productise various legal service offerings typically monopolised by the legal industry using your domain knowledge, creativity, and understanding of future trends. We're building for a tech-enabled, democratised legal future!
• Keep our legal content and workflows sharp by reviewing and refining them in response to shifts in market trends and legal developments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance our product through creative legal insights, drawing from your industry expertise and professional network.
• Collaborate across teams (Product, Legal Research, Marketing, and Customer Experience) to align legal considerations with business priorities and product goals.
• Provide expert legal guidance on product features, helping shape innovative solutions that balance compliance and user needs.
• Lead, support, and develop a high-performing team of product managers with legal backgrounds, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing across the legal function.

You Should Have...

• A license to practice as an attorney in California or New York (or eligible to register as in-house counsel), with 8+ years of post-licensure experience, ideally spanning private practice and in-house roles.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to translate legal concepts into practical, scalable product solutions.
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and commercial teams in an agile environment.
• A proactive and strategic mindset — you spot opportunities, anticipate challenges, and solve problems creatively.
• Exceptional communication skills — you can simplify complex legal ideas without losing nuance.
• A passion for innovation and a keen interest in legal tech and the evolving legal landscape.
