Senior Product Manager (Security)

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-16

Join Vonage and help us innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide!

As Senior Security Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the security product strategy for our PaaS platform. You'll work at the intersection of product development, security engineering, legal and customer needs to ensure our platform meets the highest security standards while maintaining usability and performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where strategic thinking meets technical expertise.

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Security Product Manager for Vonage API group, you'll be the guardian of our customers' most valuable asset: their trust. This role is critical because security isn't merely a feature—it's the foundation upon which our entire platform and reputation stand. You'll lead our strategy for protecting customer data and workloads while enabling the speed and flexibility that modern development demands. Your decisions will directly impact our customers' ability to meet compliance requirements, defend against evolving threats, and confidently build on our platform. In an era of increasing cyber threats and regulatory scrutiny, your leadership in security product development will be a key differentiator for our platform in the market. By translating complex security requirements into seamless, intuitive experiences, you'll ensure that security becomes an enabler rather than a barrier to innovation for our customers.

  • Strong product management expertise with deep security knowledge
  • Experience translating security requirements into product features
  • Ability to balance security controls with user experience
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strategic thinking with tactical execution capabilities
  • Data-driven approach to product decisions and security improvements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for security features across our PaaS platform working closely with other product managers, CISO and engineering teams
  • Investigate cyber threats, conduct root cause analysis, and work with development teams to implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate to define a centralized Risk, Compliance & Security governance process
  • Design and implement security controls based on known vulnerabilities and improvements
  • Ensure security is embedded throughout the product lifecycle, building a security-first mindset

What is required for application

Required:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on security products
  • Deep understanding of cloud security concepts, technologies, and frameworks
  • Experience with security controls for PaaS or IaaS platforms
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as IAM, encryption, network security, and threat detection
  • Background in software development or security engineering
  • Strong technical background with the ability to communicate with engineering teams

Desired:

  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent)
  • Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and tools
  • Understanding of container security, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures
  • History of successful product launches in cloud or security domains
  • Experience working in agile environments and managing product roadmaps
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to diverse audiences

How you’ll benefit:

  • Unlimited Discretionary Time Off
  • Private Medical Insurance with the option to add dependents at your own cost
  • Multisport Gym Membership
  • Educational Assistance Reimbursement Program
  • Polish Language Classes for non-native speakers
  • Lunch and Learn Sessions
  • Opportunity to be reimbursed for conferences, trainings, and other events consistent with the area of work aimed at personal development
  • Three Paid Volunteer Days a Year
  • Reimbursement for the costs of prescription glasses
  • Maternity and Paternity Leave

There’s no perfect candidate. You don't need all the preferred qualifications to make a valuable impact on our team. Our employees and customers come from diverse backgrounds, so if you're passionate about what you could achieve at Vonage, we'd love to hear from you.
