As a Field Service Engineer supporting our Technical Service Team in Ireland. Field Service Engineering work is focused on providing technical support to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up • Maintaining, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.

•Responsible for customer satisfaction on assigned territory. Ensure a high level of communication with customers, sales force and operations within operating region to ensure customer needs are rapidly addressed.

• Responsible for controlling expenses within budgeted guidelines.

• Properly manages company assets (company car, test equipment, computer, etc.) • Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business • May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased

•Provide customer site service including equipment installation, maintenance, upgrade, retrofit and repair on Alcon surgical equipment within an assigned service territory.

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or Electrical and Electronic or Biomedical Engineering
  • 3 years of field service experience in Medical Electronics. Experience servicing and maintaining in ophthalmological equipment.
  • Experience working with cataract and vitrectomy surgery machines would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Good level of English and perfect level of Turkish
  • Basic knowledge of electronic circuits, pneumatics, optics, lasers, IT and networking.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally when necessary.
  • Having problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Full clean Driving license
