About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and driven Engineering Manager to join one of our Clients to be their first technical leadership hire. You’ll work directly with the founder to build the foundational product and infrastructure of a cutting-edge platform powered by large language models (LLMs).

This is a 0-to-1 role offering broad ownership across the full stack — from architecture decisions and infrastructure setup to rapid prototyping and product refinement.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build scalable, full-stack applications using TypeScript (React, Node.js, Edge runtimes).
  • Prototype and productionize AI workflows powered by LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, etc.
  • Architect and deploy serverless infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with the founder on product strategy, user experience, and design decisions.
  • Establish engineering best practices, tools, and team culture from the ground up.
  • Hire, lead, and mentor future engineers, guiding their growth and career development.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in software engineering, ideally in startups or high-ownership environments.
  • Engineering leadership or management experience.
  • Hands-on familiarity or strong interest in LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI development.
  • Experience working with cloud-native/serverless architectures (especially AWS).
  • A strong sense of ownership, a bias for action, and a passion for building things from scratch.
