The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer in Texas to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems while providing technical leadership across multiple teams

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, reliable distributed systems using modern cloud-native technologies

• Lead technical architecture decisions and drive engineering excellence across teams

• Mentor and guide other engineers, promoting best practices and engineering standards

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical strategy

• Contribute to system design, code reviews, and technical documentation

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of professional software development experience

• Strong expertise in backend development using Go and Python

• Extensive experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture

• Proven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and message queuing systems

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Strong system design and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Experience with application security and secure coding practices

• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools

• Frontend development experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript

• Contributions to open-source projects

• Backend Languages: Go, Python

• Core Technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Message Queues

• Architecture: Microservices, Event-driven Systems

Salary Range: 160k - 180k + equity. Exact compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
