Secret Location: Patuxent River, MD 20670 US (Primary) Telecommuter/Any State, US % Travel 0 - 10% Job Description We are looking for a Computer Hardware Engineer with demonstrated experience in leading hardware engineering for training systems, overseeing specifications, installation, troubleshooting, equipment management, and team mentorship. • This job posting is for upcoming opportunities with AMERICAN SYSTEMS* As a Computer Hardware Engineer, you will: • Be responsible for the Computer Engineering and Hardware integration activities supporting highly complex Training Systems. • Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals. • Lead the design, install, and integration of the hardware and software to deliver the training devices. • Receive a robust benefits package that includes Employee Stock Ownership Plan! • Enjoy flexibility managing your work hours and personal needs with a single accrual leave plan. • Work with leading-edge technologies A week in the life of a Computer Hardware Engineer: • Support the Computer Hardware engineering effort for training systems. • Review and produce detailed specifications for proposed hardware solutions. • Lead team for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer or computer-related equipment. • Develop, track, and manage all equipment and deliverables (Drawings, manuals, reports, labeling, inventory). • Interact with internal and external personnel to ensure product delivery. • Provide mentorship and training.
