About the position The Senior Tech Lead of Infrastructure Engineering at Freddie Mac plays a crucial role in enhancing the housing finance system by ensuring the stability, availability, and reliability of IT infrastructure. This position involves leading a team to modernize infrastructure, automate processes, and implement new technologies, all while collaborating with senior leadership to drive performance and accountability. Responsibilities  Lead and transform the current IT environment to ensure stability and security. ,  Automate existing procedures to improve efficiency. ,  Identify and implement technology, process, and skill changes to modernize infrastructure. ,  Collaborate with senior leadership for effective communication and risk management. ,  Develop and mentor teams of engineers to proactively ensure platform stability. Requirements  College Degree or equivalent experience of 10+ years. ,  10+ years of expert-level experience in engineering new technical solutions. ,  Strong communication skills to set clear goals and relay status to management. ,  Ability to lead current technical trends and anticipate future technology needs. ,  Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus. Nice-to-haves  Experience in mentoring and knowledge sharing within teams. ,  Proven track record of influencing IT and business partners.
