Job title: Studio City RC - Piano and/or Guitar Instructor Company: City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks Job description : Seeking motivated candidates who can encourage children to gain new interest and experiences in musical activities. Create and follow lesson plans to build skills and confidence in our participants Interact with students and parents in a positive manner. Assist in preparing and being available for shows and/or presentations. Qualifications: Applicants must be available to work early morning and or late afternoon shifts. Experience instructing and/or implementing instruction at a youth, high school, collegiate, and/or pre- professional level in one or more of the above genres. Applicants should have at least six months of prior experience in supervising children. Applicants must be available to attend all training sessions and mandatory staff meetings. Applicants must have the ability to develop and implement activities for kids of all ages. Applicant must possess an invested passion and enthusiasm for Dance Applicants must have reliable transportation, be punctual, autonomous, self-governing, and motivated towards excellence. Ability to promote classes through word of mouth, delivering and distributing flyers to schools, organizations, and local businesses. Essential assets for the ideal Dance Instructor is to have enthusiasm for the job, possess good sense of humor, have good character, be responsible, be a good role model, be a team player and have good communication skills.
