Job Overview We are seeking meticulous and experienced Insurance Investigations Transcript Editors for a fully remote opportunity with VIQ Solutions. As a frontrunner in transcription and editing services, we support various industries such as criminal justice, law enforcement, legal, corporate finance, and insurance. This role empowers Independent Contractors to work with a diverse array of audio content, enhancing accuracy and precision in every transcription task. Key Responsibilities • Process audio recordings, including recorded statements from car accidents, homeowner claims, and 911 calls. • Edit AI-generated text to produce verbatim transcripts, adhering strictly to specified style guides. • Maintain exemplary levels of attention to detail and accuracy in all transcription outputs. • Collaborate effectively with our in-office team for guidance as required. • Manage your workload efficiently while meeting established deadlines. Required Skills • Exceptional listening abilities to capture and transcribe audio accurately. • Strong commitment to deadlines and adherence to client-specific style guides. • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Proficient typing skills, ensuring both speed and accuracy. • Ability to collaborate remotely and effectively communicate with team members. • Must be a US citizen; this opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts, Illinois, or California. • Previous experience in transcribing or caption-to-verbatim text editing of audio content.
