Join our team as a Buyer at a leading manufacturer of high-quality raw pet food. In this crucial role, you will ensure that our products, cherished by pet owners nationwide, are crafted with the finest ingredients available. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being of pets and the satisfaction of our customers. Key Responsibilities: Raw Material Procurement: Identify and secure essential raw materials such as meat, poultry, vitamins, and packaging for our premium pet food recipes. Supplier Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and competitive pricing. Attend industry conferences to enhance these relationships. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured ingredients meet our stringent quality standards through thorough verification processes. Purchase Order Management: Accurately generate and manage purchase orders to facilitate smooth production processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and finance teams to maintain seamless operational workflows. Data Analysis: Analyze procurement data to identify trends, improve cost efficiency, and refine purchasing strategies. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement practices comply with industry regulations and standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably in the food manufacturing sector. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities to secure favorable contracts and agreements with suppliers. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software is a plus. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective collaboration.
