Job Overview We are seeking an accomplished Regional Sales Manager to become a pivotal member of our results-driven and revenue-focused team. In this key position, you will be responsible for establishing, nurturing, and expanding relationships with retail brokers, employing a consultative approach to deliver customized employee benefit solutions... Key Responsibilities • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with brokers by thoroughly understanding and assessing their requirements through education and support. • Collaborate with brokers to devise insurance solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of their clients, including both fully insured and self-funded programs across all benefit lines. • Communicate effectively through various channels—including in-person meetings, presentations, phone calls, and online interactions—to foster and enhance broker relationships. • Utilize company technologies such as Salesforce and Employee Navigator to optimize relationship management and drive sales activities. • Develop comprehensive territory and account plans that detail opportunity development, competitive strategies, and key goals. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with sales leaders and cross-functional teams, continually expanding the prospect funnel. • Stay abreast of technological advancements in the employee benefits landscape, monitoring market trends, competitor strategies, and effective countermeasures. • Work in synergy with a collaborative team environment to meet annual sales objectives and company targets. • Represent the organization at meetings, events, and training sessions to maintain a competitive edge and uphold professionalism. • Provide consultative support to brokers and carriers by facilitating underwriting information and building strong partnerships with carrier representatives. Required Skills • Demonstrated success in sales, particularly within group medical or ancillary insurance sectors. • Proven ability to exceed sales targets consistently. • Creative and solutions-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking capabilities. • Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms, alongside advanced sales techniques and pipeline management skills. • Current Life & Health insurance license. • Competence in MS Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Highly self-motivated and achievement-driven, with effective time management abilities. • Comprehensive understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and local insurance markets. • Availability to travel for internal conferences and training sessions. Qualifications • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, specifically within the insurance industry. • Experience in managing relationships with brokers and carriers.
