This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States Job Details Job Location: Mount Hermon, CA Position Type: Summer Staff Salary Range: Undisclosed Travel Percentage: Santa Cruz Mountains Job Shift: Ponderosa Lodge Description Position Objective: Ponderosa Lodge Seasonal Program Staff will work with the PL leadership with daily all-camp program activities and team competitions at PL and is responsible to model a genuine lifestyle of Christian discipleship, nurturing spiritual growth of campers through program activities and curriculum in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values. General Qualifications: Ponderosa Lodge Seasonal Program Staff is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. Key Job Accountabilities:

  • In coordination with the PL Program Coordinator, help with all-camp program activities and team competitions for both junior high and high school campers, ensuring that all programs are holistic and accomplishing set objectives.
  • Meet daily with the PL Leadership Team and supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by the PL Program Coordinator.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Summer staff members in his/her area.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Some college experience preferred.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified.
  • Current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.

Work Experience:

  • Prior experience and leadership in youth programming with a strong background in ministry leadership.
  • Specific experience coordinating youth programs, games and activities.
  • Leadership experience with junior high, high school, and college-aged students.
  • Prior experience in camping ministry, having served in various roles.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to articulate the gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
  • Ability to demonstrate a personal, committed and thought-through faith in Christ.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through, creative, flexible and able to adjust to challenges of the program.
  • Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.

Additional Requirements/Skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Commitment to being part of the leadership team within the camp community, and investing in staff during camp sessions and weekends.
  • Commitment to spending time serving campers and helping to create a great experience for them.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
