Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities for this PositionNetwork Engineer, Colorado Springs, COMake the world’s most advanced Missile Defense Systems even smarterROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. You will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing network upgrades at operational sites, as well as traveling to remote locations for network installations and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with C2BMC and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of the network. Secret clearance required, with Top Secret (TS) highly desired.We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:
  • Solid knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
  • Network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and agile environment.
What sets you apart:
  • Experience with firewalls (Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
  • Advanced knowledge of specialized network technologies like UDP multicast, SONET, and GRE Tunnels.
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizers, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
