Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise WordPress
Description:
- Join WordPress VIP, the enterprise division of Automattic.
- Build and maintain scalable, secure content experiences.
- Develop enterprise-ready WordPress plugins
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to improve observability, reliability, and security of products.
- Perform on-call duties as part of a globally distributed team.
Requirements:
- Deep, demonstrable knowledge of modern WordPress development and Gutenberg block development and its internal APIs.
- Skilled in React, PHP, and the WordPress ecosystem.
- Experience working with a large-scale system to make it faster, more scalable, and more fault-tolerant.
- Highly collaborative, with a strong enthusiasm for participating in code reviews and discussions about architecture, technical design, and solving customer problems.
- Knowledgeable about design patterns and testability; experienced with testing frameworks, performance testing, and unit testing is very welcome.
- Customer-focused mindset, with good instincts on product design and user experience.
- Willingness to learn.
