The primary responsibilities of this position are to serve as the classroom teacher implementing lesson plans, managing student behavior, and supervising students to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Substitutes are expected to be punctual, and professional in appearance. Candidates must always act following the school’s guidelines and procedures. Position schedules will be based on the school’s standard schedule. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.Duties:

• •Implementing lesson plans
• Assigning classwork and homework
• Maintaining classroom control and discipline
• Creating daily reports for the classroom teacher
• Taking attendance following school procedures
• Setting up basic technology equipment to support classroom instructions
• Able to work on an on-call basis
• Prior related experience working with children
• The ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
• Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Able to pass a GAPS background check ( $50.00 one-time fee)
• Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions
• Proficiency in maintaining classroom management and emotional control under stress

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelors Degree
• Teaching certificate or experience in the field of education

Compensation

• This position pays $13.00 per hour
• Position schedule will be based on the school’s standard schedule
