- Research identified prospects, including validating wealth screening data using research techniques.
- Utilize in-house data, online resources, and other reference sources to research individuals, providing updates to constituent biographic data, contact information, employment information, and relationship mapping.
- Compile basic prospect profiles, briefings, and other formatted reports for a variety of audiences and situations such as events, travel, and other purposes as needed.
- Support Prospect Development team with prospect identification projects through regular review of internal reports, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
- Provide research support to the Director of Prospect Development and Prospect Development Team for specific research projects as needed.
- Regularly review, monitor, and disseminate local, national, and specialty publications proactively for information on alumni and prospects. Generate and disseminate standard communications and reports summarizing identified information.
- Conduct routine data audits and necessary clean-up of person, prospect, and pipeline data for quality control.
- Regularly monitor and review prospect management data to identify needs for action, update, or additional training. Work with multiple stakeholders to identify their needs and ensure best practices in prospect development.
- Participate in recurring portfolio consultations, ensuring accurate tracking of relevant prospect strategy information, research needs, assignment and data hygiene updates, etc.
- Support the Director of Prospect Development in monitoring the Institutional Portfolio and Division Pipeline, assisting in developing and preparing reports for leadership to track major gift activity as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality and completeness. Collaborate with Prospect Development and other Advancement Operations stakeholders on ways to utilize data to improve development and engagement results.
- Provide support for frontline colleagues with the CRM Database (PioSphere), and other integrated/aligned fundraising tools, subscriptions, reports, and services.
- Coordinate new user set-up and training in partnership with Advancement Operations and Development stakeholders.
- Contribute updates to process and policy documentation as needed.
- Assist the team with maintaining quality control standards for materials produced by the Prospect Development Team, ensuring high degree of accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Monitor and participate in relevant listservs, publications, and professional groups to maintain a strong knowledge of developments in the fields of prospect research, prospect management, and data management functions.
- Gain and maintain awareness of issues within the prospect development profession, particularly relating to ethics, privacy, and compliance, data analytics, and AI, and of the goals and activities of DU and its peer institutions.
- Serve as an active and collaborative partner to all central and unit-based advancement functions to foster strategic, effective, and collaborative fundraising practices.

- Professional or academic experience applying research and analytical techniques, emphasizing the ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize information from various sources and present information clearly and cohesively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to present information in formal and informal settings and impart understanding of complex ideas to others.
- Ability to apply an ethical code and good judgment, and to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (Veterans with equivalent combination of military certification/education and experience may substitute for the degree qualification).
- 2 years of related experience in an administrative or research environment.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Experience in higher education advancement or similarly complex non-profit environment.
- Standard open office environment.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
- Eligible for hybrid work.
- Ability to work in front of a computer for an extended period.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus
