Job description: Job DescriptionThe Translational Imaging team at our Company's Research Laboratories in West Point, PA is seeking a talented Associate Principal Scientist to support the discovery and qualification of novel positron emission tomography (PET) tracers with their expertise in the application of radioligand binding assays. This Associate Principal Scientist will work in a collaborative research environment to support drug discovery programs across multiple therapeutic areas, with a focus on neuroscience and oncology.Responsibilities:Design, optimize and perform in vitro radioligand binding assays, including autoradiography and tissue homogenate binding assays, to assess the binding characteristics of radioligands to support PET tracer discovery and developmentAnalyze, interpret results and draw conclusions from experiments, and suggest, design, and pursue relevant experimentsGenerate reliable and reproducible data in a timely mannerPresent results and next steps at group meetings and project meetingsAccess and understand relevant scientific literature and apply theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner.Work effectively with other scientists as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary teamQualifications:Education:
- Master's (with 8+ years) or Ph.D. in biology, pharmacology, radiopharmaceutical sciences or related field and relevant work experience in the area of radiopharmaceutical discovery
