Job description: TekCom Resources is seeking a dedicated Joint Use QC Project Specialist responsible for ensuring the successful integration and quality control of joint use agreements and projects for our client covering the Pacific Northwest. This position involves working with OCALC’s, Pole Apps, and Work Prints to ensure accurate submittal to pole owners. The Specialist will also be responsible for creating mark-ups/redlines, making decisions on make-ready requirements, and ensuring overall project quality and compliance. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions on infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote West Coast based role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for joint use projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Review OCALC’s, Pole Apps, and Work Prints to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to pole owners.
- Make decisions on make-ready requirements based on project specifications and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of OCALC’s, Pole Apps, and Work Prints to pole owners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Create and manage mark-ups/redlines on project documents to reflect changes or corrections.
- Process Joint Use applications, maintaining a detailed log of all activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all project documentation, including submittals, agreements, inspections, permits, approvals, and correspondence.
- Provide guidance on project requirements and quality control procedures to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Assess and make decisions on make-ready requirements, ensuring all necessary adjustments are identified and implemented.
- Identify potential issues or discrepancies in project documentation and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet’s, SiteTracker, and other programs used to monitor all work
- Experience working with OCALC’s, Pole Apps, and Work Prints.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex project requirements.
- Proven experience managing joint use agreements and coordinating complex projects.
- Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards
- Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground)
