Job title: Summer Custodian in Saint Charles, MO at Archdiocese of Saint Louis Company: Archdiocese of Saint Louis Job description: Job SummaryThe Summer Custodian supports the maintenance and cleaning of the school campus during the summer break to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and respect for the Catholic mission of the school.Job ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Maintenance:Deep clean classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, gymnasiums, and other areas of the school.Strip, wax, and buff floors; shampoo carpets.Wash windows, walls, and furniture.Disinfect surfaces and prepare classrooms for the new school year.Move furniture and supplies for summer renovations or maintenance work.Repairs & Facility Upkeep:Assist with minor repairs, painting, or special projects as directed.Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to the facilities manager or supervisor.Job RequirementsPrior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience is a plus.Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and using cleaning equipment.Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Respect for the Catholic mission and environment of the school.At the Archdiocese of St. Louis, we believe that every job is a potential pathway to purpose.
