Sort medical samples by product line or specimen type for laboratory testingOrder-enter patient, physician and specimen information accurately and efficientlyAccession (number) all medical specimens (jars, tubes, slides), test requisition and all other paper information provided for both histology, cytology and third party reference laboratoriesScan requisition into OnBase system for company-wide access via web site.Must be able to identify samples that are not processed in-house, but are forwarded to a third party reference laboratory (Send Out)Must be able to identify and confirm patient identity and specimen integrityCapable of processing send-back and confirmation specimens. This includes specimens that were either sent to CBLPath in error, received unlabeled or questionableGood problem solving skills needed.Identify and apply client specific instructions on a case by case basisOther duties as directed by the supervisor and/or department’s manager on a daily basis.All you need is:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of six (6) months data entry experienceSuccessful completion of a pre-employment computerized data entry test and basic skills test.Successful completion of an Online Medical Terminology Program upon commencement of employment.Salary Range: $16.50 to $22.00 per hour (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.Sonic Healthcare USA, reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
