IT Business Analyst (Remote)

The objective of our approach is to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.SYSCOM’s client is seeking an IT Business Analyst (Agile) for a long term position for an exciting, remote-based position.Work Location: The position is primarily remote; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite meetings at the client’s offices in Baton Rouge, LA - approximately once per quarter.Job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Define and document business functions and processes
• Analyze the integration of business functions with technology
• Assist with business case development and business process reengineering
• Consult with management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements
• Recommend new processes that yield operational efficiencies
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis
• Develop or assist with project work plans, project timelines

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

• Three (3) years of experience with business analytics processes with at least 1 year in an Agile environment
• Project experience facilitating project related meetings with business partners
• Writing skills with experience creating requirements and design documents
• Experience with VISIO or similar diagraming tool
• Experience with data conversion
• Familiarity with JIRA
• Familiarity with Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR)
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing

• Candidate must reside within the Continental United States and be able to travel to Baton Rouge, LA for onsite meetings as needed - approximately once per quarter.

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

• PMI-PBA or CBAP certification.
