Job description: Summary: Looking for a Business Development Manager based in Jackson, MS., Little Rock, AK, or Monroe, LA., to work with a very tenured sales team (+7 years on average), with great opportunity to earn a great income. This role would report to a Regional Sales Manager.Below is what we’re looking for in the ideal candidate:
- Must have proven Travel Industry Sales experience.
- Experienced BDM with a history of working for a Tour Operator selling Group Travel or selling directly to Affinity Groups.
- Someone who is familiar with worldwide guided tours (Europe, Asia, Africa, Cuba, Central & South America, Australia, New Zealand, USA & Canada) and have sold this type of product to groups.
- A BDM who has also sold European River Cruises and/or Small Ship Adventures.
- Ability to learn and work on new tech systems/CRM, as well as manage analytics and work with the Marketing Department.
- Someone who is autonomous and can work a list of prospects.
- Someone who can work with a growing inside support team to meet goals.
- A BDM who understands the demands of traveling, driving, working from the road and visiting clients within an assigned territory.
- First-year base salary is $75k
- Uncapped bonus commission based on revenue
- Additional incentives / commission for hitting specific targets for some products
- Significant part of the bonus paid quarterly
- Health and Dental plans available with company coverage.
- Fidelity retirement plan available with company matching (in a couple years, likely moving to a 401k).
- Sick leave and Annual leave is flexible for sales team.
- 2 sales team trips per year, at least one international. (example: last year they went to Iceland, this year they’re going to Croatia.
- Experienced BDMs would be considered for future Regional Manager positions.
