Looking for a skilled Weekend Shift Café Staff Member! This is an exciting Remote opportunity with an immediate start. This position requires a strong skillset in relevant areas. The compensation for this role is Competitive salary. Department Overview: The Marquette Hotel and cafe was established in 2018, opening the cafe in 2021. We seek to hire motivated and friendly people who enjoy collaborating and the community. We offer many short shifts, ideal for university and college students. We offer a chill and relaxed environment to all our staff members as well as free drinks and food during your shift... Anticipated Hours Per Week 4 to 13 Schedule: The hours of operation are 7:45am- 2:15pm The cafe is hiring until a 5-6 person group is reached of staff that can rotate days and operation hours. We have 1 person working durring slow times in the cafe and 2 people when busier, typicall between 9am-12noon. This is a tipping hourly pay postion. You are gaurenteed $13.00 per hour. The pay goes up depending on tips. We are happy to share more on this when we meet for a short tour of the cafe. Salary/Wage Range: Hourly $13.00 to $18.00 Number Of Positions 4 Position Summary/Job Duties: We seek motivated, friendly students ready to engage and serve the Marquette community. The job consists of the following duties (duties subject to minor alterations): - make and serve quality cafe beverages - take food and drink orders from customers - deliver drinks and food to customer tables - deliver quality customer service - attend to guest needs and make their cafe experience comfortable and enjoyable - interact with customers with a friendly demeanor - light cleaning and maintenance of the cafe and its facilities - deep cleaning of the cafe and its facilities - restocking of cafe items - light kitchen cleaning - light kitchen/cafe prep - light outside work Qualifications: - Barista is not necessary - Friendly and personable demeanor - ability to lift and carry 30-40 lbs. - Front Facing dress code (no loungewear, casual professional) Physical Demands Lifting and carrying 30+ lbs, on your feet for long periods of time, stairs Application Instructions: Please send us an email at [email protected] with your resume.
