Reading Tutor for PRIDE Learning Co. Location: Redondo Beach, CA (Zip Code: 90278) Position: On-Site Reading Tutor (Part-Time, 3 hours per week) Rate: $30 per hour Schedule: 3 one-hour lessons/week either after school on Wed/Thur and/or weekends About Us: PRIDE Learning Co. is a premier tutoring company specializing in helping children with learning difficulties. We offer a multisensory reading program that is 100% scripted, focusing on phonics, spelling, fluency, comprehension, and writing skills. We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable tutor to join our team teaching in-home lessons in Redondo Beach, zip 90278. Ideal Candidate: ? Ready to be trained to implement our multisensory reading program ? Experience working with school-age students and a passion for teaching ? Ability to create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment ? Strong rapport-building skills with students ? Comfortable using electronic devices, such as a laptop, for lessons ? Excellent communication skills, with an ability to motivate students ? Able to commute to the student's location in the Redondo Beach area, zip 90278 ? Committed to establishing and maintaining a long-term professional tutoring relationship with the student Responsibilities: ? Provide 1:1 individualized tutoring sessions focused on enhancing students' reading and literacy skills ? Follow scripted lesson plans tailored to each student?s needs, covering phonics, spelling, fluency, comprehension, and writing ? Use PRIDE's learning technologies and resources to enhance instruction ? Manage session time effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment ? Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements ? Must be proactive in maintaining prompt and consistent communication with PRIDE staff to discuss student progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments to the tutoring plan Qualifications: ? Experience as an instructional assistant, ABA therapist, paraprofessional, teacher, substitute teacher, graduate student in education, or speech therapist assistant is a plus ?
