Key Responsibilities: ? Communication Strategy: Develop and implement communication plans to effectively reach target audiences, including the public, media, and community leaders. ? Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, respond to media inquiries, and prepare press releases and other materials. ? Content Creation: Write and edit various materials, including news releases, feature stories, social media posts, website content, and other informational materials. ? Event Planning: Coordinate and support public events, such as press conferences, community outreach activities, and ceremonies. ? Social Media Management: Manage the State Guard's social media presence, ensuring consistent messaging and engaging with followers. ? Public Speaking: Represent the Florida State Guard at public events and media interviews, effectively conveying information and answering questions. ? Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify communication needs, assess the effectiveness of communication campaigns, and track public opinion. ? Training and Support: Provide training to other State Guard personnel on public affairs policies and procedures. ? Coordination: Work collaboratively with other departments and agencies to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication. Qualifications: ? A minimal bachelor's degree in relating field. ? A minimum of 2 years experience in relating filed. ?
