We?re looking for a highly-motivated mechanical engineering intern who can work at our office in New York and help us in the development and testing of our new product. If you?re passionate about tech and/or women?s health, this is the perfect opportunity to get hands-on experience with a growing startup that?s making a splash in the smart wearable, women?s health space. As we are deep in the middle of product design and testing, this is the perfect opportunity to roll up your sleeves and get experience building and testing real consumer products! Due to the nature of the job responsibilities, this internship is an in-person opportunity (our office is in Times Square in New York City). You must be able to commit to at least 20 hours per week. RESPONSIBILITIES ? Work closely with Lilu?s founders and Product Engineer to assist with the design and development of our next generation smart wearable product. ? Create mechanical designs for parts and assemblies on CAD (Solidworks, Fusion360 etc). ? Plan, develop and execute test protocols and build test setup for the product. ? Develop scripts to automate data collection and analysis from tests. ? Troubleshoot any errors and streamline the testing procedures. ? Documentation for specifications and test results reporting. ? Act as a project team member who is responsible for firmware and testing during project meetings both internally and with contractors. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ? Are pursuing a Bachelor's / Master?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design or related fields. ? Experience with CAD is a must. ? Experience with Arduino and/or any other prototyping platform. ? Desire and ability to learn new tools, languages and design techniques. YOUR PROFILE ?
