Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for Extended Day Staff at Saint James Catholic School, located in Falls Church, VA. The Extended Day Staff will set up tables with crafts and prepare snacks for the kids before 3pm dismissal. When the kids arrive, Extended Day Staff supervise and engage with students in a variety of settings, such as playgrounds, multipurpose rooms, and the gymnasium. Day-to-day tasks include set-up and clean-up of the main room, organizing activities, ensuring student safety, assisting with homework, and communicating with parents and school staff. Qualifications ? Attention to small details; being able to oversee large groups of kids ? Conflict-Resolution skills with children ? Ability to organize and facilitate activities and assist with homework ? Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment ? Ability to work effectively as part of a team ? Responsible and reliable employee that is great with communication and relaying incidents and accidents to the director and/or the assistant director of extended day Preferred Qualifications ? Education in early childhood education or related field is a plus ? Prior experience in working with children ? Experience in planning, preparing and implementing a program of age appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, clubs, etc. ? CPR and First Aid certified or willing to get certified Apply Job!
