About the position The Liquor Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the liquor department, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, and compliance with relevant laws. This role involves supervising and training staff, managing inventory, and creating appealing product displays to meet customer demands and achieve sales objectives. Responsibilities ? Direct and control the operation of the liquor department. , ? Supervise and train liquor personnel. , ? Ensure customer service and product quality, selection, and presentation. , ? Handle customer relations and resolve complaints effectively. , ? Promote personalized service in the liquor department. , ? Liaise with vendors and manage orders and inventory. , ? Create effective displays for liquor and related merchandise. , ? Operate cash register and process customer orders. , ? Assist customers with product inquiries and special orders. , ? Ensure compliance with liquor sales laws and company policies. , ? Monitor inventory and space security. , ? Schedule personnel to ensure adequate coverage and service levels. , ? Conduct daily inspections of the liquor department for compliance and safety. , ? Implement promotional and seasonal displays. , ? Control shrink and expenses, and maintain accurate records. , ? Train associates in proper work duties and monitor performance. Requirements ? Working knowledge of all job duties within the Liquor Department. , ? Strong communication and leadership skills. , ? Ability to manage people and maintain composure under pressure. , ? Knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices. , ? Understanding of company practices and liquor department policies. , ? Knowledge of state and federal liquor sales laws. , ? Ability to learn about liquor products and popular drink recipes. , ? Basic mathematics and metric measurement skills. , ? Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 80 lbs. , ? Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination. Nice-to-haves ? Experience in retail management or liquor sales. , ?
