Security Officer (Armed - FEMA)

As a Paragon Security Officer (PSO) you will observe and report activities and incidents while assigned to the DHS Federal Protective Service. This includes providing for the security and safety of federally owned / leased facilities, federal property and personnel. Additionally, primary responsibilities include preventing unauthorized access to facilities, responding to unusual or emergency situations, using appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol, making periodic tours to check for irregularities, and inspecting protection devices and fire control equipment. Lastly, duties also include preserving order and acting to enforce regulations / directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Ideal candidates have at least two (2) years of armed experience. Wage range for this position is $21.02 - $21.52 with a Health and Welfare benefit of $5.00 where applicable. • Additional compensation of $1.00 - $3.00 may be available at sites requiring a Secret or Top Secret clearance. • Some site assignments may include a shift differential of an additional $0.25 - $1.50 per hour.
