Operate equipment involved in the maintenance and construction of County roads and city projects. Performs road maintenance or construction related duties while operating equipment 3. May transport equipment and supplies 4. Controls traffic flow at work site 5. Performs routine maintenance on equipment or trucks and reports needed repairs 6. Performs all other related duties as assignedNOTE: You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience/education as required by hiring department or be disqualified. High School diploma or GED + one (1) full-time year worth of related work experience. ~ OR ~ Five (5) full-time years' worth of related work experience. A current and valid Class C driver license is required upon hire. Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required within eight (8) months of hire. (THE SELECTED CANDIDATE(S) FOR THIS POSITION MUST TAKE AND PASS A PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION & DOT DRUG TEST) If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing. Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudications in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment.
