The Opportunity with Solvus Global Is… Dynamic, Engaging, Cross-Disciplinary, Cutting-Edge, Flexible, EMPOWERING We are looking for an embedded robotics software engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain new embedded control, sensing, and actuation systems for in house designed and COTS robotics platforms. Candidates should have a diverse skillset working with embedded software and electronics and be able to design circuits, construct them, program them, and debug them. With Solvus Global, you will work in an Agile development environment with daily stand ups, backlog management, and code reviews. An ideal candidate can collaborate with cross functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, manage scope, and deliver finished products. You will act as a conduit between management and other engineers on your teams. It would be advised to stay up to date on embedded software and electronics for robotics. Required Attributes & Skills • Must be a US Person according to FAR22 CFR 120.15 - US Person • 3+ years professional work experience as an embedded systems engineer • 2+ years professional work experience developing electronics and software for robotics • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong background in product development cycle • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Analytical and critical thinking Advantageous Attributes & Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or similar field • Use of debugging tools including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG. • Proficiency in PCB and layout design including layer stack up, power distribution, etc. • Familiarity with communications protocols including CAN, USB, UART, I2C, and SPI • Test and validate embedded system and subsystem functionality • Familiarity with ROS or other communication middleware technologies • Experience developing with robot sensors (IMUs, cameras, encoders, force sensors, etc.) • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, working closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and project leads. • Develop embedded software for real-time controls and logical hardware operations, such as motor control, sensors, and actuators. • Lead technical development for embedded systems in new robotic platforms • Experience working with microcontroller systems (e.g., ARM Cortex, ESP32, etc.) • Experience with designing, testing, and debugging robotic control algorithms • Experience in Machine learning and/or data science • Prior experience with project management & customer interfacing Apply Job!
