Youtube Video Editor / Strategist

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Video Editor & Content Strategist to join our team. This multifaceted position will be responsible for driving video content strategies from concept to execution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for video production and a strong sense of storytelling, along with experience in brainstorming content ideas, creating shot lists and high-level scripts, and editing videos that resonate with our target audience. You will collaborate with a small team to create high-quality content that aligns with our brand’s voice and objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Brainstorming Content Ideas: • Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop innovative video content ideas that align with the company’s goals and audience interests. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and audience preferences to inspire fresh and engaging video concepts. • Contribute to editorial calendars and assist in strategizing content to maximize engagement and reach. • Shot-list Creation & Scriptwriting: • Develop comprehensive shot lists, ensuring that all necessary elements are captured for successful video production ahead of post-production. • Write compelling and creative high-level scripts for video content, ensuring they align with the tone and messaging of the brand. • Work with the team to refine and adapt scripts to meet production needs and deadlines. • Video Editing: • Edit and produce high-quality video content from raw footage, ensuring the final product is polished, engaging, and on-brand. • Utilize your expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro to assemble video content, apply effects, and manage audio/visual elements. • Ensure all videos are edited to the highest standards and optimized for YouTube, and the current YouTube posing meta. • Collaborate with stakeholders for feedback and make revisions as necessary. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Video Editor in Premiere Pro, Content Strategist, or similar role. • Strong understanding of video production processes, including pre-production planning, shot-listing, scriptwriting, and post-production editing. • Creative thinking and ability to brainstorm unique content ideas that drive engagement. • Strong writing skills with experience in scriptwriting and developing video concepts. • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to feedback. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. • A portfolio or reel showcasing your editing skills and creative work is required. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with motion graphics or animation. • Knowledge of SEO and content strategies for video marketing. • Experience in social media content creation and optimization. • Editing background in Premiere Pro • 3+ years experience editing long-form video for YouTube or similar.
