Harm Reduction Education, Engagement, and Outreach Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Harm Reduction Education, Engagement, and Outreach Coordinator will educate staff and participants about the opioid epidemic and harm reduction strategies, while providing support and resources to the community. In Short • Provide education and training on harm reduction and substance use. • Collaborate with program managers to implement training. • Conduct outreach to community members. • Maintain records for program evaluation. • Foster a safe environment for discussions on harm reduction. • Work collaboratively with teams across the organization. • Provide referrals to external services. • Coordinate harm reduction supply orders. • Attend conferences to stay informed on best practices. • Support staff and participants in a non-judgmental manner. Requirements • Certification as a Peer Support Specialist or Community Health Worker. • 1-2 years of experience in harm reduction education. • Bilingual in Spanish and English. • Experience in outreach and community networking. • Understanding of harm reduction policies. • Knowledge of community resources for basic needs. • Ability to work independently and in teams. • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills. • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. • Flexibility to meet the role's demands.
