Remote Staff Accountant | WFH Opportunity
Job Overview Join our esteemed organization as a Staff Accountant in a fully remote capacity, where you will play a vital role in managing and analyzing client financial data. Key Responsibilities Prepare financial statements by meticulously gathering and evaluating data from clients and relevant departments. Accurately record client inventories and transactions for every accounting period. Troubleshoot software-related issues and partner with clients to ensure seamless data integration into accounting systems. Code and import banking transactions with precision. Maintain clear and accurate records for petty cash, deposits, and all financial transactions. Facilitate effective cash flow management for clients utilizing appropriate tools. Reconcile and document assets, liabilities, expenses, sales, and costs of goods. Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial reports to implement necessary accruals and adjustments. Prepare, audit, and file various tax forms, along with handling other required filings. Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies with external agencies. Respond clearly and concisely to client inquiries regarding financial data and reports. Support special projects as directed by management. Required Skills Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively with clients and teammates. Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to manage projects efficiently. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency with accounting systems, databases, and reporting tools. Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software. Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of one year of experience in a general ledger accountant role is essential. Experience in the restaurant industry is advantageous (FOH, BOH, Management). Candidates with over five years of accounting experience, even without a degree, will be considered. Comfort with utilizing cloud-based systems and software for daily tasks is required (training will be provided). Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed, resulting in potential overtime.
