About the position As a Closing Support Funder at Wintrust Mortgage, you will play a crucial role in managing a daily pipeline of loans that require final disbursements. This position involves handling various refinance transactions and purchases, ensuring that each file is processed and disbursed in a timely manner. You will collaborate with multiple title settlement agencies to facilitate the smooth disbursement of loans, adhering to strict deadlines and funding conditions. Your responsibilities will include reaching out to title companies to request all necessary funding documents, reviewing these documents against a specified checklist, and ensuring that all required signatures and dates are correctly applied. You will also be responsible for following up on any missing documents from title companies, loan officers, or other internal departments. Once all documents are received and verified, you will issue a funding number to the title company, enter this number into the system, and upload the funding documents into Encompass, our loan management system. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent organizational skills, as you will be managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to maintain high standards of communication, both written and oral, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while working within a team-oriented atmosphere. Responsibilities • Manage a daily pipeline of loans requiring final disbursements. , • Work with title settlement agencies to ensure timely disbursement of files. , • Ensure all loans in the assigned pipeline are disbursed by the disbursement date. , • Reach out to title companies to request all funding documents required by funding conditions. , • Review all required documents against the document list. , • Ensure all documents are signed and dated appropriately. , • Follow up to capture missing documents from title companies, Loan Officers, or other internal departments. , • Issue a funding number to title companies once all documents are received. , • Enter funding number into the system and record the funds released date. , • Upload funding documents into Encompass. Requirements • 3+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Funder. , • Experience with Encompass loan management system. , • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. , • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral). , • Strong telephone etiquette skills. , • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities. , • Organized individual with excellent decision-making, analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
