Job Title: Physics Subject Matter Expert (SME) – AP Level Correlation Work Location: Remote (US-based) Job Type: Contract/Immediate Requirement About Academian: Academian is a leading educational services provider, committed to delivering high-quality resources and support to educators and students across the United States. We are currently seeking an experienced Physics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support correlation work for AP-level physics materials. Position Overview: We are looking for a Physics SME with hands-on experience in teaching AP-level Physics courses at the high school level (Grades 9-12). This role focuses on correlating educational content to specific curricula standards and ensuring that our physics resources meet the academic requirements for AP-level classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of physics content, curriculum alignment, and experience in providing educational resources for high school students. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the team to ensure physics content aligns with AP-level standards and course objectives. • Support the development and correlation of physics content for AP courses in line with curriculum requirements. • Provide subject-specific expertise to validate and recommend improvements to course materials. • Review and assess current teaching materials, providing expert feedback for refinement. • Work with other SMEs and instructional designers to ensure the highest educational quality in the AP Physics program. • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, standards, and best practices in AP Physics education. Qualifications: • Proven experience teaching AP-level Physics to high school students (Grades 9-12). • Strong understanding of AP Physics curriculum and standards. • Previous experience in creating or reviewing educational resources and course content is preferred. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines. • A degree in Physics, Education, or a related field is required.
