About the position As an Associate Buyer for A New Day Apparel at Target, you will play a crucial role in executing advertising plans and strategies for your category. This position involves collaborating with diverse vendors to curate the best product mix for both in-store and online offerings. You will be responsible for market trend analysis, assortment planning, and coordinating promotional activities, all while supporting the Buyer in product development and financial planning for your categories. Your strategic insights will be essential in guiding product selection and maximizing sales and profit. Responsibilities Execute advertising plans and strategies for your category via ad item selection, space allocation planning, pricing, ad volume forecasting, and productivity analysis. , Monitor market trends and evaluate competitors to inform product assortment planning. , Coordinate end-to-end promotional activities for the Buyer to review. , Assist Buyers with system input of item descriptions and markdown updates. , Generate reports to analyze weekly and monthly category metrics. , Collaborate with product design and sourcing to support the Buyer in guiding product development. , Manage communication with vendors to maximize sales and profit. Requirements A four-year degree or equivalent experience. , Strong financial, strategic, and planning skills. , Entrepreneurial spirit with strong analytical, decision-making, and organization skills. , Performance-driven individual with superior leadership skills. , Flexibility and resiliency in a constantly changing environment. , Comfortable taking risks and supporting creative changes. , 1+ years of merchandising experience preferred.
