Job Overview We are in search of a dedicated and forward-thinking Special Education Teacher to provide exceptional virtual instruction for students with diverse learning needs. This role demands a profound commitment to delivering personalized, engaging, and accessible online education that fosters both the academic and social growth of every student. Key Responsibilities • Deliver specialized, high-quality online instruction designed to address the unique needs of students with disabilities. • Create, implement, and oversee comprehensive online Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to fulfill each student’s distinctive educational requirements. • Cultivate a collaborative and interactive virtual classroom atmosphere that promotes support and encouragement among students. • Regularly monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional methods as necessary to enhance student success. • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and update digital records promptly to ensure comprehensive review. • Conduct virtual meetings and maintain communication with students’ families to build a strong partnership in the educational process. • Comply with all relevant regulations, ensuring instructional practices meet legal and educational standards. Required Skills • Proven experience in virtual instruction, with the ability to create a dynamic and inclusive online learning environment. • Proficiency in online teaching platforms and educational technology tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in a virtual context. • Exceptional planning and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple students and instructional tasks. • Familiarity with online resources and tools utilized in special education. • Strong understanding of virtual assessment techniques to monitor and evaluate student progress. Qualifications • Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in special education settings. • Current state teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement. • A proven track record of effective, student-centered instructional practices.
