Buyer (Mid/entry Level)

Job Title: Buyer Planner Responsibilities • Manage business within established supplier relationships. • Schedule each purchase order to support the production schedule or requisition requirement, maintaining minimal inventory while being responsive to manufacturing and other departmental needs. • Identify and communicate any supplier concerns or opportunities internally. • Support cost recovery initiatives and supplier problem resolution discussions. • Ensure the adequacy and timeliness of supplier corrective action plans. • Coordinate the implementation of cost reduction projects and supplier consolidation. • Monitor cost, schedule, technical, and drawing release status of projects and lead corrective actions as required. • Enter cost changes, assign selected suppliers, and support sourcing projects. • Prepare and solicit requests for quotes and proposals based on the defined commodity strategy. Essential Skills • 1+ years of supply chain experience. • Experience in buying and planning. • Strong negotiation skills. • Proficiency with ERP systems (any system is acceptable, currently using KBM greenscreen). • Experience with requests for quotes (RFQs).
