Job Description

As a Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines, you will be an essential part of our crew, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our passengers during their journey. Your daily responsibilities will involve delivering exceptional in-flight service, preparing the cabin, conducting safety checks, dealing with emergencies, and representing the friendly spirit of Southwest.

Responsibilities

– Conduct pre-flight safety inspections and ensure all safety equipment is functioning correctly.

– Greet passengers, assist with seating, and provide in-flight announcements.

– Serve beverages, snacks, and meals, and sell onboard products.

– Address passenger queries and manage situations of discomfort or dispute with empathy and professionalism.

– Provide first aid and handle emergencies with composed urgency.

– Ensure adherence to all FAA regulations and company policies during every flight.

Requirements

– Must be at least 20 years of age.

– Possess a high school diploma or GED.

– Authorized to work in the United States.

– Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

– Pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment medical evaluation.

– Comfortable working variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

– Able to reach overhead bins and stand for extended periods.

– Willing to relocate as needed and able to fly both domestic and international routes.

Educational Qualifications

– High school diploma or GED required.

– Further certifications in hospitality, tourism, or related fields are a plus but not mandatory.

Experience

– No previous experience as a Flight Attendant is required.

– Experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field is desirable.
