Sales Business Development Manager - Travel Industry

Description We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage key accounts within an assigned territory, driving portfolio revenue growth through strategic sales and marketing plans... Responsibilities • Drive Annual Business Results: • Conduct sales calls to agencies within your territory to maintain and grow relationships with clients offering our products. • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve annual targets. • Identify and develop measurable and actionable sales growth initiatives to solve complex business issues. • Product Knowledge and Training: • Provide product knowledge to clients through product and technology training. • Conduct regional training or assist in training agents at events such as Agent Education Programs, Familiarization trips (FAMs), and ship tours. • Budget Management and Reporting: • Manage program budget and be accountable for timely forecasting, tracking, and reporting. • Product and Promotional Opportunities: • Enhance product and promotional opportunities through client tactics and communication. • Reporting: • Report to the Regional Sales Director, Travel Agency Sales. Required Qualifications & Skills • At least five years of proven travel industry experience, specifically in a sales business development role. • Consistent record of relationship building with C-Suite level contacts and operational leadership. • Proven history of product training facilitation for both small and large groups (75+). • Proficiency in negotiating and implementing annual marketing plans, co-operative investments, and growth incentives. • Experience in driving revenue for key brand priorities/multiple brands. • Strong understanding of field-level/remote selling and deep knowledge of the travel industry and key trends. • Excellent relationship skills and credibility as a business partner, both internally and externally. • Proven ability to manage and secure confidential information. • Strong planning and analytical skills to enhance business results. • Broad understanding of marketing principles and creative problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications • Previous field sales experience in the travel or entertainment industry. • History of proven overachievement in roles/responsibilities. • Working knowledge of all travel products in the portfolio. • Familiarity with software such as Tableau, SharePoint, and similar tools. • Existing relationships with travel agencies in the assigned territory. • Certificate/Licenses: CTA or CTC desired. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is (97,100.00-)130,200.00 per year, which considers various geographic regions. The actual base pay will account for internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
